Author's Tea

The Wonderful Learners worked SO incredibly hard on three particular pieces of writing since the turn of the new year.  They returned from their winter break and wrote a personal narrative about one thing they did during their vacation.  Throughout their study of simple machines, they wrote and illustrated about each simple machine they learned about. To conclude this study, they created a PicCollage mini poster using the PicCollage app to show what they learned about one simple machine of their choice.  These three pieces of writing were the basis for our special Author's Tea. We invited our first grade friends and many special adults to come and enjoy some tea and cookies as they listened to us read our writing.  The room was full of pride and smiles.  Enjoy our moments!

We enjoyed a 100th day snack to celebrate our awesome learning.

Each learner took a turn to add a way they could make 100 to our class poster. Mrs. M and Ms. Eastman had mathematical ideas too!
